Leading The Customer Journey Through Elevated Audio Experiences

You hear it all the time, yet sometimes you don’t know where it’s coming from. Sometimes, you don’t even notice it because it’s setup so perfectly and just coexists with its’ surroundings. Many business owners, like us, don’t like to spend money. But there are certain things that warrant a step above the lowest bidder, or a few steps…

Our most recent newsroom post went through the steps of how to design a sound system for your specific space, which included a fan-favorite statistic on how the overall atmosphere leads to return customers. We still believe that to be very true, but it’s not always just about the music. If you’ve been directed here from our Instagram post, you know what we mean. We often talk about the presence of sound and the importance of having a system in your space or business, but not often do we touch on why spending the extra bit of money for a higher quality product is worth it. Today - we will.

When you hear us — or any audio company recommend a certain brand or lineup, this happens for a reason. These products have often been vetted and rigorously tested by in house engineers, and have been deployed in the real world with nothing but success. The staff here at WiredUP are huge proponents on JBL and QSC for installed systems. There’s great reason for this — Q-Sys systems don’t fail. Plain and simple. The system that runs airports all over the world and theme parks in many countries is designed in such a way that makes it reliable 100% of the time. The short caveat being — of course, the price tag.

In the 10 years of our company history, going back to the Pre-WiredUP days, we’ve seen a total of 1 JBL Professional product fail, by pure luck of the draw. We take delivery of new JBL Products daily, making the ratio of 1 failed product to the amount of non-issue product basically a near-zero number. But this isn’t the only place that quality matters. Sound quality is paramount in both background and foreground systems. Background requires a high-fidelity loudspeaker so you can still hear all the details at even the lowest of volumes. Foreground requires the same high-fidelity as to not create a painful experience for guests. Low-budget products create low-budget experiences.

Retail experiences require more than music in many cases. Automated announcements notifying customers about sales, promotions, updated hours, new products and much more, require a system that has intelligible vocal playback (not to mention the legality surrounding intelligible audio). This is where a quality system like Q-Sys can come in, and automate the entirety of your system, meet EN54 requirements, Energy-Star requirements, and even remote support.

When it comes to theme-parks and rider safety, cue safety announcements with the push of a button with Q-Sys. These integrations really CAN be that simple for the end user.

But remember the point of this blog post… that audio quality is paramount, and settling for less is not the right answer. Let’s get started building your system today.
