Consult A Qualified AV Integration Specialist

Would you trust a pro-athlete with your root canal?

You’re not alone — we wouldn’t either. In a recent ad campaign, we briefly discussed why using anybody but a professional qualified AV Integration company for your installations could be detrimental. So, if you’re here from Instagram or Facebook, Hello!

Disclaimer: As part of our never-ending efforts to be transparent and always provide our customers and readers with the truth, while we would love to earn your business, we understand if you’re using this article for reference only. But, you should also know that we provide nationwide sales, installation and service. So, if you haven’t landed on a vendor yet, we’d appreciate the opportunity to speak with you.

Many folks think of a distributed sound system or lighting system as a simple, functional and necessary part of any business, restaurant, theatre, nightclub and so on. While we agree that the end user should experience these systems as easy to use, the back end may not always been that straightforward. No matter the size of your site, doing things the right way always yields better results.

While hiring an AV Professional is not the cheapest solution, you can expect to receive technical support from a knowledgeable professional, around-the-clock emergency support, and you’ll always receive the right product for the job. When you purchase from an Authorized Dealer, you maintain the full manufacturers warranty. If you buy from a non-authorized reseller and something goes wrong, you’ll be on your own.

The days of “Ah, just throw a speaker on the wall” are fortunately in the past. Sound design alone has come a long way in recent years, allowing us to better conceal speakers, wiring and other infrastructure out of sight, out of mind. But on the topic of sound design - it’s not just about making the products invisible. Your space still has to sound good. Professional sound designers can ensure a sightly appearance while making sure the sound quality remains paramount. Having one thing does not mean having to sacrifice another.

When it comes to control for all these fancy devices - only the pro’s can develop a fully integrated control system. If your controller came from a big box store, chances are it’s not a great product. Or, maybe it is. Who knows! We don’t know what the other pro’s are doing, but we’d assume it’s something similar to what we do. We build Q-Sys systems. Q-Sys, while at heart is an audio control platform, can control just about anything. Which is why we talk so much about integrated control. Do you really want to control the music, lights, shades, doors and HVAC with individual seperate controllers? Or — how about an integrated touchscreen controller that controls all of those devices, or better yet - has scenes programmed for all of those devices to adjust in the background.

The most important thing here is the knowledge base and insurance for these types of things. We’ll come right out and say it — we’re not insured to touch high-voltage electrical systems. So we know that we shouldn’t be touching them! Many DJ companies that claim that they can install a system don’t even realize that they aren’t insured to do these types of things. So how can we really trust that they even know how to properly install these types of systems?

Below, you’'ll find some pictures of real-life installations that I’ve personally seen. While they seem functional on the surface, weigh the safety risks against that and ask yourself if the liability payout on that is worth it, rather than hiring someone to do the job the right way.

That said, if you want us to come and take a look, and you even somewhat enjoyed my dry sense of humor, we’d be happy to work with you. Contact us.
